A child stood at the tap,
letting the water rush out.
“Maybe a little less,” I said,
and turned the tap down.
Ruuush.
Click.
Ruuush.
Click.
After a few rounds,
a hand appeared beneath the stream,
sending water flying.
Then a cup.
Filled with water.
Lifted.
Splash.
Water spread across the floor.
Giggles.
Squeals.
Then,
the child picked up a mop
and began to wipe the floor.
Perhaps this is how we meet the world.
